Sidebar Update
For those of you that might be interested I've updated my sidebar to include some of the printable coupon sites that I utilize. These coupons change from time to time so you might check them out periodically. Also, don't forget to click your "back" button after printing an internet coupon as it will often allow you to print a 2nd time.

Formula Coupons Update
Don't forget it's been over 30 days so for those of you that called to get your coupons for Parent's Choice Formula (see earlier post) you are now eligible to call again (1-800-272-5095) and request another one. I asked the rep today how much the coupon is typically for and she said right now they are mailing out $3 coupons but they range anywhere from $3-$5.
I also decided to call the makers of Nature's Goodness baby food and see if they ever mail out coupons. I just called the toll-free number on the jar (1-800-872-2229) and within a few seconds I was connected with a rep, gave her my address and she said that I should receive my coupons within 5-7 days. No hassles, no long wait, no 20 questions, just a simple "Do you by chance mail out coupons", gave them my name and address and I was done. The rep said to feel free to call again.
Just a disclaimer for any of you that may be worried and feel like you need to potentially have a special collection Sunday for David and I we are doing fine, our finances our great and there is no need to worry :-). I just like being frugal and am having a great time saving money and have enjoyed being able to share some of the free things I have received with family, friends and our church.

I Never Want to Forget....
I loved Mary Jo's recent post and decided to steal shamelessly and create my own list of "I never want to forget".......
**the way my Grandma's old fashioned pink rose smells
**how peaceful Caleb looks snuggled up in my arms after he has gone to sleep while I'm rocking him.
**the way Caleb's face lights up when I enter the room when I pick him up after work
**the sound of Caitlin and Sierra (my nieces) yelling "Aunt Mel" as they run toward me with a big hug when I first see them when they are in town
**the way Caleb looks and smells in his footed pajamas after bath time and he has been rubbed down with lotion.
**how God has blessed our family and given me the opportunity to work part-time
**how much David loves Caleb and I
**Sunday lunches at Grandma's house
**the intense look of concentration on Caleb's face when he is inspecting something with his fingers

8 Months Old
Ok, so I'm a little behind getting this post submitted being that Caleb turned 8 months old on July 10 but I guess better late than never.
Here is what you have been up to since last month:
* You have 3 new teeth (this makes a total of 4)
* You can sit up on your own
* You are crawling and have learned to pull up onto a few things (ie. Daddy while he's laying in the floor, the bottom step in the living room, in your crib).
* You are finally getting some hair
* You have found the doorstops and thank these are a great new toy
* You are finally getting some hair
* You have found the doorstops and thank these are a great new toy
* You've attempted to at least put one knee on the bottom steps in our living room in effort to chase the kitty up the stairs. Luckily it was not a successful mission and we still have a little more time to find a baby gate but I fear that time is quickly running out.
* You've learned how to stick out your tongue
* You can wave with both of your hands but not necessarily in response to bye bye
* You absolutely can not stand for your stacking cups or blocks to be stacked up without coming and knocking them over.

Formula Coupons!
What, you can actually get a coupon for generic formula at Wal-Mart? I am always on the lookout for discounts on baby items and recently found out that if you call PBM (the company that makes Parent's Choice formula) they will mail you coupons! According to Denise at The "Cent"sible Sawyer You can call the company once every 30 days and they will send you a $3.00 off coupon for their formula. Their toll free number is 1-800-272-5095 (this number is also on the back of the can of formula).
I decided it was worth a shot so I just called the company and the rep told me to mark my calendar and I could call back every 30 days for more coupons. She told me it would take 2-6 weeks to receive the coupon so I won't know for a while if it actually works and how much the coupon is worth.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!
And we are off.......Caleb finally got his left leg to cooperate with the rest of his body and is off and crawling. The day I was excited about and almost dreaded in the same breath is here. HE'S MOBILE, AAAHHH! My little ball of energy is off and to the races and there is no stopping him. I'm not exactly sure what type of record he is trying to break or why he thinks he needs to grow up soooooo fast but in the last couple of weeks he has figured out how to sit up, crawl, wave with his left hand, stick out his tongue, has cut 2 teeth with a third on the way (this will make a total of 4), and if David is laying in the floor he can pull up on him into a standing position! No, no, Caleb.....Mommy says stop growing up so fast.
Looks like we are now on the lookout for baby gates since he figured out today that we have stairs. So far he is content to just use the first step as a drum but at the rate he's going he will be at the top of them before we know it.
